Opened in 2013, Lavender Garden which was Cameron Highland's newest attraction is located just before Tringkap town and has since grown to become a prominent tourist attraction here.

My family and I had an enjoyable time of 3 day 2 night stay at Cameron. We stopped by Cameron Lavender on our way back after a short vacation.

I think it is a nice place to spend some time with family enjoying the beautiful garden filled with lavender and other flowers. The layout of the garden was quite organized with different sections dedicated to specific themes. You start at the entrance and walk up an increasingly steep slope to a lookout point where you could get a great view of the surrounding scenery.

It was crowded when we were there since it was during a short school holiday break. We were having trouble walking through the crowded garden narrow walkways. I guess our experience would have been more positive if it had not been very crowded.

DATE OF VISIT : Sunday, 20 September 2015

The centre opens daily and charges RM5 per adults and RM3 for children,  sorry that was last year. The price was increased to RM 1 each for adults and kids respectively this year.

It is a floral themed park with cemented terraced hill slopes where ascending row upon row of flowers are grown, offering a glorious scenery of vibrant colors for visitors to admire and
happy photo shooting.

The lavender itself isn’t as plentiful as one might expect with artificial lavender scent permeating the air at the entrance but live lavender plants can be seen planted in a large plot at the centre of this park.
There are also many types of flowers grown here, there are other types of plants here like roses, peonies, yellow daisies and camellias.

The most notable sight you will notice as you reach the Cameron Lavender Garden is the purple horizon of lavender flowers. It is very well designed and an amazing sight which is different from other flower nurseries.

If you want to see the view of rows and rows of Purple lavender fields like nothing you have ever seen before, it is located at lavender-producing areas of Provence and southern France.

Lavandula (common name lavender) is a genus of 39 known species of flowering plants, which belong to the mint family

Originally, the name lavender only meant the color of this flower. The color of the flower is still the standard for lavender but there are many other shades of lavender, range in hue from pinkish purple through violet to blueish-indigo. They can also range from light and pale to medium and greyish shades.

The main star attraction here is a "field" of purple lavender flowers. The flowers are blooming at their fullest and it is absolutely mesmerizing.

The flower and the oil of lavender are much used in perfumery, and to a lesser extent in medicine.
Lavender is used for restlessness, insomnia, nervousness, and depression. By inhalation, lavender is used as aromatherapy for insomnia, pain, and agitation related to dementia.

Visitors can also buy souvenirs at Cameron Lavender’s gift shops. Wide selection of lavender related products available, from toys to scented candles, to soaps, and even candies.

Cameron Lavender Teddy Bears who drive car. Did you know that the Teddy Bear was named after President Theodore, the 26th President of the United States?

Though it's called Lavender Garden and painted in lilac here and there, it has seas of other flowers planted.Well, you only find lavender at the entrance of the farm.

An apiary and a small gift shop selling lavender products are among the other offerings while potted lavender plants are sold for RM15 each.  There is a gift shop selling in house lavender products and a cafe offering good strawberry milk shake, and Lavender ice cream for RM5.50

Most of the lavender garden is covered and still can be visited even on rainy days.

Direction Sign says on the left  will lead you  to the rest of attractions while on the  right is to the wash room and exit Lavender Garden.

I want that decorative windmill. Why can't they sell the miniature windmills at their souvenir shop? I LOVE WINDMILLS!!!! For some reasons ... Love watching them spin freely in the wind! ... How can you not get excited to see this going on?

On a very hot afternoon day, clouds become dark gray before a heavy rain ensues.

Didn't notice this little kid photobomb me.

The open air tea shop at the hill top a good place to stop by for a cup of tea and some pastry, but were deeply bothered by the army of flies. A couple of fans to cool down the tent would be great as the morning and noon heat could be a turn off.

You can enjoy their unique, lavender inspired cuisine at the Lavender Cafe.

A view from the top.  Many visitors making their way to the Lavender

The walkway of the attraction was extremely steep and definitely not suitable for the elderly or those with bad knee problems.

A Cameron Lavender Variant of Manneken Pis peeing on the bottle.

I wonder what this castle-like structure which says 'Cameron Lavender' is for?

Although a little early, "Merry Christmas!". Couldn't get near to the  the Seven Dwarfs as it was raining heavily.Hang on! Where's Snow White?

You can also have fun self-picking fresh flowers and then they'll charge you
  RM2 per stalk or 6 for RM10.

Just like a simple wisdom of 'Forrest Gump' :  My Momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

How many of you knows this song, " Daisy, Daisy"?
Daisy, Daisy give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage.
But you'll look sweet,
Upon the seat,
Of a bicycle made for two.

Oh no! Not another kid.

Forever young, I wanna be forever young. Do you really want to live forever?
 I want my teddy bear!!

"Buah Cinta" means "Love Fruit" aka Passion fruit.

Also known as grenadilla, passion fruit is a tropical fruit about the size of an egg with a brittle outer shell that contains crunchy seeds surrounded. It's like life with the one you love, with its bitter and its sweet, the sour and the savory, can never be 50:50. Life is never neatly divided.

Mosquito Repellent Plant - Pokok Halau Nyamuk (Citrosa Geranium). Does the Mosquito Plant "Citrosa" actually work?

Overall is nice place to visit with  bright colourful flowers. Apart from some picture taking, nothing much to shout about this flower farm.

Entrance fees a bit expensive but if you  truly adore shooting captivating floral photography, you would have liked the many different varieties of flowers grown there. If you're driving on the way back home, stopping by for a quick look would be great but if you're planning to stay here for long, you might get discomfort in crowded places.

 I'm a bit claustrophobic, I don't like crowds.

Cameron Highland 2015- Green View Garden

If you are driving to Cameron Highlands using the Simpang Pulai route, you just can't miss this spot which is on the left side of the road.  This is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cameron and the first stop when visiting if coming from the North.

Green View Garden is a strawberry farm and flower nursery off Kampung Raja, located close to the end of the Simpang Pulai highway before the township begins. There are some other tourist attractions on the same site as well, namely the Strawberry Moment Dessert Cafe, Avant Chocolate shop and House of Lavender.

An ideal location for visitor either heading out from Cameron, or else heading back to Cameron. Green View Garden is very easy to spot with its huge bright green signboard, big banner and ample parking space in front so you don't have to worry about finding a place to park.

Unfortunately the Avant Chocolate was not open the day we were here.

When you step out of your vehicle, the chill air rushed up to greet you. You will get your first taste of cooler weather and temperatures. The cold breeze sent shivers down your spine and chilled you to the bone.

Strawberry Moment Dessert Cafe serves predominantly a great selection of strawberry related cakes and desserts. Oh, wouldn't it be loverly? Lots of goodies for me to eat but I'm not a huge fan of sweets. Watch your sugar intake for those who long for sweet, sugary foods .

Stepping into the premises you'll aware of a wide range of local product made from their homegrown strawberries for sale.  I'll do some sightseeing first, I can buy souvenirs or gifts later on.
Inside lies a flower nursery and strawberry farm that visitors can view after  proceed to the spacious cafe for snacks and refreshments.

Step out of the cafeteria you'll see a pavement. To the left will lead you to the Green View Garden and to the right  is the potted strawberry plants farm and hydroponic farm.

We took a stroll in the garden. Green View Garden was a sight to behold. Its a great place to start outdoors photography session,  Beautiful garden landscape can produce some of the most beautiful work a shutterbug can ever produce. You'll be taking a lot of photos and be amazed at the results.

There were strawberries, lavender, gerbera and many kinds of flowers grown here. Unlike another nearby attraction, this place do not charge an entrance fee. Besides plants, there were live animals reside here, namely ducks, fish, rabbits and birds.

We know it's not Christmas yet, but wouldn't it be nice to have bright, colorful, sparkly ornaments on the tree and as many lights around this place.

How nice people living at Cameron can  grow beautiful flowers and plants due to the cold climate?  My sister thinking this is a wonderful place for retirement. Slow pace of life.

There are no high-rise buildings in Cameron Highlands, and it's natural mountains have been retained except you can see more and more resorts popping up in the area. More city folks are coming here on the weekends.  Now Cameron folks has a new fear: traffic jams.

My mom thought why are there so many colorful loo in the garden? Nah I make it up but those olden days it was common for people to have an outside loo which look like that.

What's up Duck?

I goofed it up. You're supposed to stand inside of the erected picture frame.

Do Your Children Know These Hopscotch traditional Game?  Also called Aeroplane Jumping(Chinese Translation)

Hold that thoughts. This rabbits couldn't even wait to get into the room. Ahem, not in the presence of the children. please.
Those horrible smell came from the rabbit cage. No matter how often you clean their cage, within a couple of hours it stinks again. The rabbit urine  has a strong ammonia pungent smell became unbearable for visitors.

For those with a knack for sweet snacks, this is absolute heaven. The outlet sells a wide range of strawberry influenced like cakes, salad, waffle and ice cream that can satisfy any degree of cravings. A good stopover before leaving Cameron Highlands to snap up some edible souvenirs.

Popsicle molds ice strawberry in disposable bag. It reminds me of my childhood where old-fashioned ice candy served in different  traditional flavors.

It has a vast potted strawberry plants farm and
hydroponic farm.

When you use hydroponic techniques to grow your lettuce, you can expect faster and better production than you'd get growing in soil. The salad mix was more crunchy and sweet.

Hydroponic plantation is the art of growing plants without soil, the nutrients are added directly to the water.  It ensures that the plants get oxygen, nutrients and appropriate light for optimum growth and a better yield.
Visitors are expected to pay a small fee for toilet entrance of 20 sen but unpleasant smell from the toilet was a little bit disappointing. So far the best toilet I've used at Cameron are Boh Tea Plantation, Cactus Point and Big Red Strawberry Farm, also known as Taman Agro Tourism.  Why Can't More Tourist Attraction Learn From Them?

Overall a good place to visit. Wish to spend more time there but it's already 2.00pm. Need to check in Cameron Pasar Malam Apartment,  Brinchang first. My sister stomach is growling and certainly would enjoy a steamboat in the cold weather!
