It is time to put a monkey crossing road sign at hilly Mantin - Seremban trunk road. You don't see a "Monkey Crossing" sign every day, I think is time it need. Why would I say that?

On Tuesday evening after work , I reach the Mantin town bottom of the hill and suddenly this monkey dashes across the road to try to cross the road.

Look Before You Cross!

I do not have time to react or stop and also there is another car follow closely behind.

Eventually it hit the bottom of front bumper spoiler but was not fatal as it quickly disappeared into the jungle. Thank God that the damage was minimal as it was only single line crack and spoiler slightly out of position.

I still need to send for repair the next day at the knock-and-spray workshop and the cost of damaged is RM80.00

Driving in the nearby forest area you will likely seen snakes, monkeys, squirrels ..etc killed by passing vehicles. Most is unavoidable. Is there a department to clear the dead animals on the road? No, as most will be crush till no longer visible or left to rot at the road side.

A few years back ,Chai- friend of mine had a large wild boar came out from nowhere and hit his Myvi car and cost massive damaged. So while driving on the this area, you need to keep a sharp eye out for monkeys or wild boar or ...

I have seen some rural dogs that somehow does know when to cross the road? These dogs look left and right before crossing the road. I think it is a survival instinct.

This hilly trunk road used to be cool climate which I do not need to on the air conditioner while driving but deforest to make way for development and highway expansion has caused trees to cleared and natural habitats destroyed. Leaving many native animals homeless.

This year my New Year's resolution is for a Happy and Healthy and Safe New Year 2012

The End Of World?

On a more sombre note , this is also the year where ancient Mayan Calendar predicts this going to happen to be the end of the calendar 2012, doomsday, the end of the world?

Only time will tell. So not much time left to build your own ark before countdown to Armageddon Day 21-12-2012

Is this new year our last? To some Armageddon has begun last year as we have seen plenty of natural disasters at various countries.
